[Winpcap-users] winpcap 4.1.1 won't install, says i already have an older version

Nope, it’s not there. That includes the entire tree of devices with the hidden devices shown.

Lucky for you I had the same problem.  I'll go through the steps that someone else led me through. 

Reboot your computer, then run Device Manager.  Enable "Show Hidden Devices" in the "View" menu.  Go to "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" and tell me if "NetGroup Packet Filter Driver" is there or not.

  I found packet.dll and wpcap.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 as i ran a full search, and i found npf.sys in C:\Windows\System32\drivers all of them had the same version of 4.0.0.1040

  What should i do?
