[Winpcap-users] No loopback on MS Loopback adapter?

Hi,

Sending packets on the "Microsoft loopback adapter" using
pcap_sendpacket() and pcap_sendqueue_transmit(), I don't see the
packets being actually looped back.

Note, I do have PCAP_OPENFLAG_NOCAPTURE_LOCAL set when opening the
adapter, but I assume this flag should not impact the loopback
functionality of the adapter itself.

Is this expected? If so, would appreciate some technical details on
why (to satisfy my intellectual curiosity).

Running Winpcap 4.1.2 on Windows XP SP2
