[Winpcap-users] Installation of WinPcap 4.1.2

The installer for 4.1.2 will automatically uninstall 4.0.2 before installing the new version (thus removing the old wpcap.dll). If it doesn't, it's because either 4.0.2 was not installed with the installer, or because wpcap.dll is in use by another application (and in this case the installer will ask you to reboot).

Can you reproduce the issue consistently?

Subject: [Winpcap-users] Installation of WinPcap 4.1.2

Hi,

I installed WinPcap 4.1.2. Earlier I was using Ver 4.0.2.Should I manually replace the wpcap.dll in the System32 folder with the latest version after every installation? Currently, the assembly is not getting replaced with the latest version when I run the installer.

Regards,
Satish Viswanathan
