The interface is listed, but does not capture any packet.
Are you able to create a small problem reproducing the issue? Which specific type of dialup connection are you wokrking on?
And about the link, the file name is correct, but not it's version. Just see the VERSIONINFO structure of installer and their DLLs. I found it looking for the winpcap version that my application was using.
The internal version of WinPcap 4.0.2 is 4.0.0.1040.

Windump works like wireshark. I'm using pcap_open_live to start the capture and pcap_next_ex to loop results, but my application uses winpcap together with sql server and other things. Could any of this resources avoids winpcap to work properly? I'm using this application since 2006 and I remember a problem to access some devices with CoInitializeEx using COINIT_APARTMENTTHREADED parameter, but now I'm using COINIT_MULTITHREADED.
What is the exact problem? the adapter you are interested in is not listed, or you just don't capture any packets out of it?
The link is the "WinPcap auto-installer (driver +DLLs)" (for 4.0.2) in http://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm.
I just checked, and the link there correctly points to http://www.winpcap.org/install/bin/WinPcap_4_0_2.exe
Have a nice day

Do any of the WinPcap samples work on such interface? Does windump work on such interface?
Also, can you please tell me which specific webpage has the wrong link?

Hello, all!
When I try to capture data from "WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface" or "Adapter for generic dialup and VPN capture" using Wireshark it works, but my winpcap based application does not. I tried to update to 4.1beta5 it's still not working. Any idea?
And the link to version 4.0.2 available for download from the winpcap website points the file version 4.0.0.
Thanks,
