[Winpcap-users] how to resolve the specific machine name

Hello everyone,
Suppose I am accessing the machine in the same domain named TestBlade by using http://TestBlade:8080/test, my question is how will the client resolves the IP address for the machine name?
1. Send to DNS?
2. Send to Gateway or proxy?
3. Using Netbios or Wins to resolve local names? But how will the client know TestBlade is another machine in the local domain?
