[Winpcap-users] Does WinPcap support IPv6?

Thats great. I am looking to be able to collect packets to/from hosts that use IPv6.
  The bpf support would be useful too.

  WinPcap is able to capture all the frames, disregarding the fact that they are ipv4, ipv6 or any other ethertype.
   
  IPv6 support in WinPcap usually refers to two different aspects:
  1. listing IPv6 addresses associated with an adapter returned by pcap_findalldevs(). This is fully supported by WinPcap 4.0 on XP, 2003 and Vista. It should be supported on win2k using the experimental ipv6 stack provided by MS research (if I remember well)
  2. support for bpf filters using ipv6 addresses. In general the pcap filter compiler (pcap_compile()) supports filtering on IPv6 addresses. There are some limitations to this, that I don't remember exactly. I suggest you to ask to the tcpdump-workers mailing list for details on it (pcap_compile comes from the original libpcap sources).

  I have found some posts in the forum regarding IPv6, but am not clear if WinPcap provides full IPv6 support. If yes, which release version supports this. Pointers to related documentation, if any, would be helpful.
