<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face=Calibri size=3>We
are writing an application that requires consistent small latencies in
obtaining packets from the network. We are grabbing UDP streamed packets
from the network and then playing the multi-media stream. Currently our
overall program has unacceptable latencies so we are dissecting it to
understand exactly where the latencies are. I’m concerned it may be in
the networking piece. Can you help me understand what type of latencies
we could expect in grabbing packets. I would like to see sub-2ms.
Are there certain tricks to obtain this type of latency?</FONT></P>
