<P><BR>Hello forum, </P>
<P> I need to design a program on Windows that takes data from a
control system that uses an old protocol which is not IP stack based, but
propietary. However it uses standard ethernet.</P>
<P> I consider Winpcap very interesting for this application
because give the freedom to send and receive arbitrary packets for this non
common protocol. However this machine needs to run 7x24 hours a year with
minimum maintenance. I would like to know if you have some insigth about
applications that runs continuosly the library without problems. </P>
<P> I saw the impressive tool list that uses Winpcap, but I am not sure
if these kind of tools are running "on demand" (for some time and then
restarted) or continuosly.</P>
<P> Any information will be very helpful. I consider a value added the
offer for paid technical support, so I hope I can use this good library.</P>
